IRRSTC (ISLAMIC RESEARCH FOR REVIVING SCIENCE-TECH CENTER) 2123/2005,North Mughaltooly by Lane, West Madarbari, P.S: Sadarghat, P.O: Bandar, Post Code: 4100, District: Chattogram, Bangladesh. পরিচিতিঃ ২০১৬ সালের ১৪-১৫ এপ্রিল তুরস্কের ইস্তাম্বুলে ১৩ তম ওআইসি শীর্ষ পর্যায়ে অনুষ্ঠিত এক সম্মেলনে (https://www.thesunrisetoday.com/demo2/news/36159https://www.thesunrisetoday.com/demo2/news/36159) কাজাখস্তানের তৎকালীন প্রেসিডেন্ট নূর-উস-সুলতান কর্তৃক মুসলিম উম্মাহর মধ্যে বিজ্ঞান-প্রযুক্তি এবং বিজ্ঞানভিত্তিক অর্থনৈতিক উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে একটি আন্তর্জাতিক ইসলামী বিজ্ঞান সম্মেলনের প্রস্তাব উত্থাপন করা হলে প্রস্তাবটি সর্বসম্মতিক্রমে গৃহীত হয়। রাষ্ট্র ও সরকার প্রধানদের স্তরে ইসলামী বিজ্ঞান বিষয়ক উক্ত প্রস্তাবিত শীর্ষ সম্মেলন আহ্বানের লক্ষ্য হল বিজ্ঞান, প্রযুক্তি, উদ্ভাবনের ক্ষেত্রে সংস্থার সদস্য রাষ্ট্রগুলির মধ্যে সহযোগিতা অন্তর্ভুক্ত। ওআইসির তুরস্ক শীর্ষ সম্মেলনে নিম্নলিখিত বিষয়গুলির উপর যে চারটি কার্য অধিবেশন ছিল তা হচ্ছে : ১) "একবিংশ শতাব্দীতে সমাজের জীবনে বিজ্ঞানের ক্রমবর্ধমান প্রভাব," ২) "টেকসই উন্নয়ন নিশ্চিত করতে বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তির ভূমিকা," ৩) "আধুনিক অর্থনীতিতে প্রতিযোগিতা ও উদ্ভাবন," এবং ৪)"বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তিতে সহযোগিতার উন্নয়ন।" তৎপরিপ্রেক্ষিতে পরবর্তী বছর ২০১৭ সালের ১০-১২ সেপ্টেম্বর কাজাখস্তানের রাজধানী আস্তানার ‘ইনডিপেন্ডেন্ট প্যালেসে’ ওআইসিভূক্ত মুসলিম দেশ সমূহের শীর্ষ পর্যায়ে প্রথমবারের মতো এক আন্তর্জাতিক ইসলামী বিজ্ঞান সম্মেলন অনুষ্ঠিত হয় (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OIC_Science_and_Technology_Summit )। উক্ত সম্মেলন শেষে প্রকাশিত “আস্তানা ঘোষণায়” বলা হয়ঃ Introduction: At the 13th OIC Summit held in Istanbul, Turkey on 14-15 April 2016 (https://www.thesunrisetoday.com/demo2/news/36159https://www.thesunrisetoday.com/demo2/news/36159) The proposal for an International Islamic Science Conference to promote science, technology and science-based economic development among the Muslim Ummah was put forward by the then President of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, and was unanimously adopted. The proposed summit on Islamic science at the level of heads of state and government aims to foster cooperation among the member states of the organization in the fields of science, technology and innovation. The four working sessions of the OIC Turkey Summit were on the following topics: 1) "The Growing Impact of Science on Society in the 21st Century," 2) "The Role of Science and Technology in Ensuring Sustainable Development," 3) "Competition and Innovation in Modern Economies," and 4) "Developing Cooperation in Science and Technology." In this context, the following year, on 10-12 September 2017, an international Islamic science conference was held for the first time at the top level of the OIC Muslim countries at the ‘Independent Palace’ in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OIC_Science_and_Technology_Summit). The “Astana Declaration” published at the end of the conference stated: “Furthermore, HE Kulaklıkaya emphasized the enormous role that SESRIC, as a subsidiary organ of the OIC, continuously has played in addressing related issues with countless means and different ways. “In its capacity as the main socio-economic research organ of the OIC, SESRIC always placed special emphasis on science and technology as an integral part of its research agenda. Over the years, SESRIC has been regularly producing reports on a wide range of issues related directly or indirectly with this domain including: health, water, agriculture, education, science and technology, and environment. The summit adopted the Astana Declaration affirming the commitment of the member countries to alleviate poverty, increase the budget for education and join efforts to accomplish the goals envisioned in the OIC 2025 Plan of Action and the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.
